The E298 has a chrome nitride coating to help prevent workpiece material from sticking to the cutting edge of the tool- essential for a clean, accurate thread. The spiral flute design makes the E298 an automatic choice for threading those blind holes and means you can thread down to the bottom of the hole The A002 drills go well with the E298. With a titanium nitride coated tip you can look forward to an extended tool life and a better performance. The A002 drill is manufactured from High Speed Steel which means they are good for drilling many materials, including leaded steel, magnetic soft steel and structural steel. The specially designed 118 degree split point helps to self-center the tool on the workpiece when you start to drill the hole so the tool will not wander all over the surface when you begin.
