VINTAGE PROJECT PIECE / CUTTER GOWN
This is a massive, heavyweight vintage bridal set from the late 1940s or early 1950s. It includes the gown, the metal hoop skirt, and the hat.
The Fabric: It is made of "Liquid Satin"—that heavy, cold-to-the-touch vintage satin that drapes beautifully. There are yards of it in the cathedral train, perfect for harvesting for other projects.
The Hoop Skirt: The hoop skirt is in great shape! It has flat metal boning and a metal zipper. It's rare to find these intact.
The Hardware: All the original fabric-covered buttons are still sewn on!
Sold AS-IS.
There is a red stain (looks like nail polish) on the right cuff. The hat is stained/yellowed. The hem is dirty from storage. There may be other small flaws not noticed. Feel free to ask questions or for more pics/video!
No major rips in the fabric. Metal zippers work. Hoop skirt is solid.
